ICIEA2021 Special Session on Phase Locked Loops and Grid Stability

Session Organizers: Mingdi Fan and Zhiyong Dai

CALL FOR PAPERS

In recent years, many renewable energy sources such as wind energy, photovoltaic and fuel cells are added into power grids. Phase locked loops (PLLs) and frequency locked loops (FLLs) are applied in renewable energy sources to achieve grid synchronization. However, PLLs/FLLs result in several cases of grid oscillation. To analyze and tackle this issue, the discussion of PLLs/FLLs and their effects on grid stability is an important topic.

The objective of this session is to provide a forum for researchers to discuss their works related to PLLs and grid stability. Original innovative research papers addressing the following technology areas and their potential applications are invited:

• Advanced PLLs

• Advanced FLLs

• Novel structures of grid synchronization methods

• Novel grid parameter estimators

• Impedance model of PLLs/FLLs

• Impedance analysis of grids with PLLs/FLLs

• Novel stability analysis of grids with PLLs/FLLs

Submissions:

Papers are invited from prospective authors with interest on the related areas. All papers must be submitted electronically in PDF format by the submission deadline.

Special Session Organizers:

Mingdi Fan (Soochow University)
